2007 - Jackson Loop
Complete
Another track was added to the already crowded crossing at Eagle
Point, making it more unique than it already was.
Industrial tracks were
added at Jackson Loop, Fredonia and Bakewell while the Yard at Cumberland took
shape.
Jackson Loop was the big track story for the year adding a draw
bridge, tall curved trestle, tunnel and opening up access to the area above
Stillhouse where the Tracy City branch reached Swanee siding and you could look
down on a large area of the railroad as if viewed from a scenic overlook.
The Sequatchie branch did get extended at both ends for a total of about
500' of new track.
Additionally, the Allen Time Saver was used for the
first by a visiting Boy Scout troop.
