Prototype Info

The inspiration for this kit was the Georgetown, CO Courrier newspaper building and was made as a direct result of a request from a customer. A good picture of the prototype inspiration is on page 101 of THE MINERAL BELT Vol 3, By David Digerness (Sundance Publications 1982), which shows the front as well as the roofline and 1 side. Variations of this basic structure were built all across the US and many are still in use today. This kit came about as a direct request by Martin Fischer from TrainNet on Compuserve

This kit is easily detailed as a store, post office, manufacturing office or as was the inspiration a newspaper office, using details from Grandt Line, SS Ltd, Durango Press, Micro Engineering & others, and would be appropriate in any era from the mid 1870's through today.

No HO Scale Layout ,including HO, HOn3, HOn30, HOn2 1/2, and Proto: 87,
should be without this Great little Structure.

Small enough to fit anywhere.

All with the ease of building a few pieces and painting.

Great First Building or a nice addition for the advanced Layout Builder.

A one night project.
