The Cedar Springs RR is envisioned as a long term project (20+ years) and is planned to encompass 10+ acres and include over 10,000 feet of track (10 scale miles). This RR is on private property located about 5 miles Northeast of Calhoun, TN.
We are currently laying track and plan for trains to be running on about 1,100' (1 scale mile) in 2005.
A Yahoo Groups email list has been set up for purpose of allowing people to stay in touch with the progress being made on the RR. This will also allow others to post photos, files and other information on the RR as they see fit. The group can be found at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/csrr
We currently have an assortment of equipment that includes 4 battery powered locos and 10+ cars.
As the railroad expands so will this web site. Planned features include: Topo maps, Visiting Info, Current and Future Projects and more.
The Cedar Springs RR is located less than 10 miles off of I-75 in Southeast Tennessee. Starting in 2005 we will welcome visitors both with and without their own trains. Keep this in mind when passing through Tennessee on I-75. The RR can be contacted by phone, email or snail mail.
