The Denver and Rio Grande Southern Railroad, Columbia Division, represents the Rio Grande Southern RR from Rico, Colorado to Ridgway, CO. The layout was started some time ago, however there was a 10 year when no work was done on this layout because a large scale layout was being built outside.
Currently, all the hand laid Rico yard is finished and work continues on the Enterprise branch. Rico structures include a station, water tank, stock pen, and outbuildings. About 50% of the scenery is finished.
Equipment includes brass and die cast Rio Grande Southern RR engines, a PMC Goose equipped with DCC and sound. The power system is Easy DCC. Rolling stock includes equipment built from Durango Press, Grandt Line, San Juan Car Co and Tomalco kits.
