"Rio Grande Southern"
The layout, when complete, will hopefully capture narrow gauge railroading at its best, with the structures and yard clutter consistent with Rico and Ridgeway along the Rio Grande Southern in the fall of 1944. The master plan calls for a light snow scene at Ophir along the high line plus a cut-away view of a mine interior with lighting and operational hoist. The scenery is about 15% complete and the trackwork is just about finished. Power and sound is by Speed, Direction & Sound Inc. The 18 x23 ft room has coved ceilings and walls featuring Greg Gray’s exceptional backdrop painting.
